Edward Checkley - Chief Operating Officer
Ed joined Private Finance in 2004. On his way to his current position Ed has undertaken just about every role in the company. Ed has an eye for detail and a passion for technology, and has been instrumental in designing the company’s systems and procedures.
As a broker, Ed has been nominated for industry awards and has a reputation for being one of the most knowledgeable mortgage brokers in the industry. Ed specialises in negotiating larger, more complex mortgages.
In the role of Chief Operating Officer Ed has chiefly been concerned with modernising the day-to-day operations of the firm, finding technological solutions to everyday problems and ensuring that Private Finance remains on the same upward trajectory that it has enjoyed over its first twenty years of business. Ed’s primary objective is to make sure that Private Finance remains at the forefront of the technological revolution that is currently sweeping the mortgage industry.
Ed is married with two children and a boxer dog. He has always, and continues to be, an avid cyclist. He has achieved a very respectable time in the London marathon, a feat which he has accomplished on three separate occasions, raising thousands of pounds for the Epilepsy Society and Deafness Research UK.
